Meet Dr. Gilban
Dr. Sandra Gilban, has been in practice for many years as a Family Physician in New York City. She completed her medical training and graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 1984. She completed her residency at Lutheran Medical Center and completed a fellowship at the Sidney Hillman Institute in New York. She is board certified in Family Medicine and is a diplomate of the American Academy of Family Practice. She holds a certification in Advanced Colposcopy, has conducted six medical research projects, and has written three articles which were published in accredited medical journals.
Dr. Gilban founded her private practice, Sandra Gilban MD PC in 2011 in New York City. She is a strong advocate for preventative care and early detection. She has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2016 for her exceptional work as a Family Medicine Physician and was selected as one of Castle Connolly’s Exceptional Women in Medicine in 2020.
Dr. Gilban is fluent in Portuguese, French, and Spanish.

Concerned about numerous healthcare trends that are negatively affecting doctor-patient relationships and the way care is delivered, Dr. Gilban has collaborated with Castle Connolly Private Health Partners (CCPHP) to create a unique, concierge or membership-based practice model that provides a more optimized healthcare experience for both patients and providers.
In this model, Dr. Gilban has considerably fewer patients than typical primary care doctors. This allows her to have enough time to provide each and every patient with personalized, unhurried care. Members of Gilban CCPHP pay an affordable annual fee to take advantage of a wide array of member benefits and enjoy a more convenient, connected, and compassionate approach to healthcare.
Membership fees are payable to Gilban CCPHP, LLC, a business entity formed by Dr. Gilban and CCPHP that is separate from her medical practice. Dr. Gilban provides all professional services through her practice, Sandra Gilban, M.D. Since the membership fees do not pay for any insurance-covered healthcare services, we recommend that our members maintain their health insurance. “As a physician, my greatest satisfaction is derived from working closely and comprehensively with my patients in an unhurried environment, so that I can be my patients’ advocate and advisor regarding longevity and quality of life.
In order to alleviate some of the barriers in today’s healthcare environment that interfere with my ability to continue to practice this way, I have collaborated with Castle Connolly Private Health Partners, LLC (CCPHP), to create a new concierge program called Gilban CCPHP. The program provides my patients with a wide variety of membership amenities to enhance their care experience, such as access to the innovative SENS Solution® Wellness Program, which includes a personal health coach who collaborates with me to optimize their wellbeing.
